high gas prices too much to bear?

my first thought: maybe he fainted due to the high gas prices. but since he was apparently riding a bicycle, i guess that one’s out.

could it be the heat? kahului has had the highest temps in the state quite a few times in the last few days. hmmm, but he doesn’t appear to be sweating. (don’t really want to get close enough to figure that one out!)

no matter what the cause, one thing is clear. maui’s a beautiful place. you can’t help but notice the majestic silhouette of haleakala in the distance, the palm trees swaying in the breeze, vibrant blue sky kissed by fluffy white clouds… it’s the stuff of hyperbole.

yes, sometimes one must take a little beer-belly, no-slippah, passed-out-dude-in-front-of-da-gas-station with your daily dose of island beauty. otherwise, it might just be too much to bear.

(maybe that’s what got him?)

the things that make you go hmmmm…..

    I’m pretty sure that’s a collection box in his hand. Looks like a box o- soap. Detergent. Aw. It’s gas or laundry, dude. You can’t have both. Better get on that bike and start pedaling for energy. Looks like you’ve got a lot stored.

    Heeeh. =)
